At Video to DVD Scotland, we have been transferring video tapes for customer in Dorset for two decades, with many satisfied customers over the years. For professional formats, we can transfer Betacam tapes recorded on the following formats SP, SX, MPEG IMX and Digital recorded on both small and large tapes. For DVCam types of tape, we can transfer from both small and large format tapes recorded on DVCam, DVCPro 25 and DVCPro 50 as well as the newer HDV high-definition system.
When transferring your video tapes to the computer we only use well maintained professional video equipment that would have been used by broadcast companies back when video tape was the format used to record and edit television material for broadcast. We are always happy to give in-depth information and technical specifications on request for those customers that require it. Once your footage has been digitised, we will then prepare it ready for conversion to DVD or USB as a Mpeg 4 files. Although the bulk of our customers are happy with these formats, we do get some customers that are looking to edit the footage themselves so require other formats that make editing easier. We are happy to provide you with your video files in any video codec you require, some examples are file formats such as Apple Pro-Res, Avid DNx, Mpeg 2, or even large uncompressed AVI or QuickTime files.
If you would like your footage edited and don’t have the time to do it yourself, we can do it on your behalf using the latest computer software. We also offer an upscaling service where we can upscale your Standard Definition footage to HD or even UHD in some cases. We are also one of the few companies around that will work with your damaged tapes that have snapped, been chewed or even have mould damage. We keep our prices affordable and still offer professional-grade transfers so why not get in touch, we will have you reliving your memories in no time at all. I sent some really brittle, poor quality cine film to George that my Dad took in the 60's. Although there was only approx 15 mins worth it was important for me to salvage memories of my family..especially of my brother who is now deceased. After discussing with George certain parts that I wanted edited he produced and enhanced some lovely memories for me on a USB stick. He was professional but approachable and I cant recommend VideotoDVDScotland highly enough.
George has been an absolute professional from the moment I've sent my inquiry through his website. I needed some heavy mould removed from old family VHS tapes, which he's done perfectly. He also excellently communicated with me via email sending regular updates on how the work was progressing. Wonderful service and I don’t hesitate to recommend. My precious videos were safely received, transferred in a couple of days and returned with the USB. Friendly, helpful, efficient and reasonably priced.
I had some 8mm camcorder tapes which had footage from late 80s, I had tried to have them copied but was unsuccessful, I came across this business and contacted George. Within one week I sent and received footage on USB stick, the transaction was flawless, I was kept informed at all times, costs were explained and extremely reasonable, tapes were returned as well, I now have precious memories to watch. hey transfered a wedding dvd to usb for me, quick turnaround and good communication, prices were very reasonable, I would have no hesitation in using their services in the future.
I was absolutely delighted with the service I received from George from when I first enquired about prices and time scale until I collected my USB stick. He kept me informed regularly and the quality of the pictures and sound on the USB stick is at least as good as before if not better. I can't thank him enough as there were so many precious memories that could have been lost if I hadn't found George to transfer them for me.
Just had an old 1983 Betamax tape transferred to MP4 and AVI file on my flash drive which I supplied. Speedy transfer and it cost me £12 - A great service which I am very pleased with. Video files are now on my hard drive ready for further editing adding a title etc.
